Diglipur

Diglipur (325 Kms., approx. 12 hrs by road from Port Blair) Situated in North Andaman Island, Diglipur provides a rare experience for eco friendly tourists. It is famous for its oranges, rice and marine life. Saddle Peak the highest point in the islands is nearby. Kalpong, the only river of Andaman flows here. The only Hydro-electric project of the islands is on this river. One can feel the innocent beauty of village life everywhere in Diglipur.

How to Reach

Speed Boats

Diglipur is connected by boat from Port Blair & Mayabunder.  One who comes by boat from Port Blair will reach Aerial Bay Jetty, which is very near to Kalipur in Diglipur. Port Blair - Diglipur boat services are available twice a week. Further, Kalighat is also well connected by daily two boat services from Mayabunder.

One can also reach Diglipur from Port Blair, by road via ATR.

Where to Stay

Turtle Resort run by the Directorate of Tourism at Kalipur provides comfortable accommodation. There are few private resorts as well. It is advised to confirm your booking well in advance.
